​Purpose of the association

The purpose of this association is to promote the educational philosophy of The Feldenkrais Method. Provide a channel for physical and mental education and professional Feldenkrais training for body workers to promote physical and mental health and serve the public.

 

 

Constitution of Taiwan Feldenkrais Education Association
Chapter 1 General Provisions
Article 1 The name of this association is The Feldenkrais Guild Taiwan (hereinafter referred to as the Association).

Article: This association is a social organization established in accordance with the law and not for profit.
                The purpose of this association is to promote the educational philosophy of The Feldenkrais Method. The Association provides channels for body and mind education and professional Feldenkrais training for body workers to promote education for the whole person, promote physical and mental health and serve the public.
Article 3 The association takes the national administrative regions as its organizational areas.
Article 4 The association shall be located in the area where the competent authorities are located, and may set up branches upon approval by the competent authorities.
The organizational rules of the branch mentioned in the preceding paragraph shall be drawn up by the Board of Directors and submitted to the competent authority for approval.
When setting up or changing the address of the association and branches, a letter must be submitted to the competent authority for approval.
Article 5 The tasks of this Association are as follows:
1. Relevant academic research of the Feldenkrais School and providing relevant professional training and learning.
2. Research and develop textbooks, books, videos and publications of the Feldenkrais School.
3. Handle matters such as study activities and lecture courses of the Feldenkrais School.
4. Organize and participate in international Feldenkrais School studies and conferences to facilitate promotion and international exchanges, etc.

6. Supervise the quality of Feldenkrais courses.
7. Promote and improve human physical, mental and spiritual growth and prosperity.

Article 6 The competent authority of this association is the Ministry of the Interior.
The undertakings targeted by the Association shall be subject to the guidance and supervision of the competent authorities of the undertakings.

Chapter 2 Membership
Article 7 The application qualifications for membership of this association are as follows:
1. Individual members: Anyone who agrees with the purpose of this association and is over 20 years old and not declared under guardianship.
2. Full-time student members: full-time students from universities and colleges (including graduate schools) who agree with the purpose of the association.
3. Group membership: Any public or private institution or group that agrees with the purpose of the association.
4. Sponsoring members: groups or individuals who sponsor the work of this association.
When applying, an application form for membership should be filled in, approved by the board of directors, and membership fees must be paid.
Group members should nominate a representative to exercise membership rights.
Article 8 Members have the right to vote, elect, be elected and remove. Each member has one right.
Student members and sponsoring members do not have the aforementioned rights.
Article 9 Members have the obligation to abide by the association’s articles of association, resolutions and pay membership dues.
Members who have not paid their membership dues will not be entitled to membership rights. Members who have not paid their membership dues for two consecutive years will be deemed to have withdrawn from the membership.

Article 11 A member who loses his membership or is removed from the membership by resolution of the general meeting shall be deemed to have withdrawn from the membership.
Article 12 Members may withdraw from the association by stating the reasons in writing.
Chapter 3 Organization and Authority
Article 13 The General Assembly of the Association shall be the highest authority.
When the number of members exceeds 300, member representatives will be elected in proportion to each district, and then a member representative meeting will be held.
Exercise the powers of the General Assembly. The term of member representatives is 2 years. Their quota and election method shall be drawn up by the Board of Directors and reported to them.
Please check with the competent authority before proceeding.
Article 14 The powers of the membership meeting are as follows:
1. Formulate and change articles of association.
2. Elect and remove directors and supervisors.
3. Decide on the amount and method of membership fees, annual membership fees, business fees and member donations.
4. Decide on annual work plans, reports, budgets, and final accounts.
5. Decide on the expulsion of members.
6. Decide on the disposition of property.
7. Decide on the dissolution of this association.
8. Decide on other important matters related to members’ rights and obligations.
The scope of major matters specified in Paragraph 8 of the preceding paragraph shall be determined by the Board of Directors.
Article 15 The Association shall have 15 directors and 3 supervisors, who shall be elected by the members to form a Board of Directors and a Board of Supervisors respectively.
When electing the directors and supervisors mentioned in the preceding paragraph, 3 alternate directors and 1 alternate supervisor may be elected at the same time based on the counting of votes.
When directors and supervisors become vacant, they will be filled in in order.
The current session of the Board of Directors may propose a reference list of candidates for the next session of directors and supervisors.
Article 16 The powers of the Board of Directors are as follows:
1. Determine the qualifications of members.
2. Elect and remove executive directors and chairman.
3. Decide on the resignation of directors, executive directors and chairman.
4. Recruiting and dismissing staff.
5. Formulate annual work plans, reports, budgets, and final accounts.
6. Other matters that should be implemented.
Article 17 The board of directors shall have three standing directors, who shall be elected by each other, and the directors shall elect one person from among the standing directors.
Chairman. The Chairman manages and supervises the affairs of the Association internally, represents the Association externally, and serves as the General Assembly and the Board of Directors.
President. When the chairman of the board of directors is unable to perform his duties due to some reasons, he shall designate a standing director to act as his deputy.

Article 18 The powers of the Supervisory Board are as follows:
1. Supervise the execution of the work of the Board of Directors.

Article 19 The Board of Supervisors shall have one standing supervisor, who shall be elected from among the supervisors to supervise daily affairs and serve as the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors.

Article 21 Directors and supervisors shall be dismissed immediately if they commit any of the following circumstances:

4. Those who are subject to suspension of power for one-half of their term.

Chapter 4 Meeting
Article 25 The general meeting of members is divided into two types: regular meetings and temporary meetings. They are convened by the chairman of the board of directors. Except in case of emergencies,

Chapter 5 Funding and Accounting
Article 37 The funding sources of this Association are as follows︔
