Feldenkrais method
【Origin of development】
The founder of the Feldenkrais Method is Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais (1904-1984), born in what is now the Republic of Ukraine. He is a Ph.D. in physics, a judo expert, a mechanical engineer and an educator. He suffered a serious knee injury in a football accident when he was young. Years later, he accidentally injured his knee again while working on a submarine. Because doctors at the time said the success rate of surgical treatment was only 50%, he did not undergo the surgery. As a scientist, he began to combine his majors and research in various fields, such as mechanical engineering, judo, physics, anatomy, biology, physiology, kinesiology, neurology, psychology, child development and anthropology, etc. , experiment with your own body movements and re-explore the use and function of your knees. In this way, he learned how to use his nervous system to release chronically tight, overused muscle patterns and reawaken underused muscles. As a result of these experiments, he not only no longer felt pain and pressure in his knee joints when walking, but also improved his posture and breathing.
So Dr. Feldenkrais began to use his experience to help people in need overcome various discomforts and difficulties, including David Ben Gurion, the then founding Prime Minister of Israel. When more and more people benefited, he also began to formally and publicly teach his method, which is now known as the Feldenkrais method.
[About Feldenkrais method]

Through gentle movements and guided attention, it helps people learn how to perform all physical activities more easily, such as walking, walking, and walking. Sitting, turning over, turning around, going from sitting to standing, from sitting to lying down, even breathing, talking, typing and writing. As you rediscover the innate ease and ease you had as a child and discover new flexibility, balance, strength and coordination in the movements you perform every day, you will discover that you The self-image and quality of life have been improved more positively.
Around the world, the Feldenkrais Method, in addition to being used to improve the above-mentioned basic functions in life, is also widely used to increase the professional performance of athletes and musicians, recover from accidental injuries or diseases (such as stroke, cerebral palsy, etc.) paralysis, etc.), assist patients with autism or head injuries to increase communication and cognitive learning, assist in the improvement of physiological functions (such as vision, breathing), etc. These effects are thought to be related to the brain's neuroplasticity.
Dr. Feldenkrais said: "We act based on our perceived self-image." By improving our perception and awareness, it will help us understand ourselves better, feel better about ourselves, live a more comfortable life, and be able to realize our potential dreams.
【Two working methods】
The Feldenkrais Method works in two ways: Awareness through Movement® and Functional Integration®:
Awareness in motion course
In this course, the teacher uses spoken language to guide students through a series of professionally structured movements and awareness in the movements. Each class is a guided exploration that improves our ability to learn, become aware of unhelpful habits, and discover new ways to use our bodies. Many classes are based on developmental movements and functional activities (such as extension and flexion, standing, lying to sitting, turning, etc.), while others are in-depth exploration of joints, muscles or postures.
Most of the awareness-in-motion courses are on-mat courses, but there are also standing or chair courses. This can be done in a group or one-on-one.
Functional integration course
This is a one-to-one course. Teachers use precise professional touch, sometimes combined with oral guidance, to help people discover their existing patterns in movement, reconnect with their bodies, and learn how to use their bodies more effectively and develop Develop new, more efficient and smooth movement patterns and improve self-image.
